EU Leaders to Discuss Key Elements of 2028-2034 Budget at June Summit

European Council President António Costa has called EU leaders to a summit on June 18-19 to discuss the essential elements of the new Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) for 2028-2034, aiming for a political agreement by the end of 2026. In July 2025, the European Commission proposed a €2 trillion MFF for the period, emphasizing new own resources to align political ambitions with financial means.
