Akkuyu Nuclear Plant Begins Reactor Testing in Turkey

Turkey's first nuclear power plant, the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant (NPP), has commenced testing of the reactor pressure vessel in its first power unit. The plant, located in Mersin province on the Mediterranean coast, is being built by Russia's state nuclear energy corporation Rosatom.
